During Open Enrollment for 2027, each employee covering a spouse will be required to make a new medical enrollment and take additional steps to ensure the spousal surcharge is being applied correctly to all spouses enrolled in the medical plan. An acknowledgement will be required that certifies each employee understands how the spousal surcharge may or may not apply to them. Additional audits may also be conducted by the employer after Open Enrollment has been concluded. Instructions will be provided during your enrollment between October 23rd and November 6th.
