Welcome To The McLeod Employee Assistance Program

The purpose of the McLeod Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is to enhance the qualify of life and performance of our employees and their families by providing professional consultation and services to assist in problem prevention and resolution.

It is an employee and family benefit provided at no cost.

Providing Assistance

McLeod Health provides assistance to employees with a variety of concerns including:

  • Family issues
  • Stress or anxiety
  • Job concerns
  • Alcohol and/or drug abuse
  • Marital/relationship issues
  • Parent-child conflicts
  • Grief and loss
  • Sadness, loneliness, or depression
  • Eating disorders
  • Emotional distress
  • Gambling compulsion
  • Domestic abuse

Confidentiality

Contact between you and the EAP is confidential. Information is never released without your consent unless life or safety is seriously threatened, or as required by law.

Services

EAP services start with an assessment to evaluate your concerns. EAP also provides for short-term counseling.

Many issues can be resolved by using the EAP. If other services are needed, the EAP staff know the resources in the community and will refer you to the most appropriate professionals. Whenever possible, you will be referred to a provider in the McLeod Behavioral Health Network so that employees and family members may use the enhanced behavioral healthcare insurance option. This allows McLeod employees to receive services in the community at a very cost-effective rate.
